Project Dulce is collaboration between The Whittier, San Diego Community Health Improvement Partners, and the San Diego Council of Community Clinics and is designed to reach low-income and uninsured diabetes populations, specifically Latino, African American, and Asian Americans. The program provides diabetes patient care and education, and operates programs at 13 community clinics in San Diego County. Patients of Project Dulce may be eligible for clinical trials through the Whittier Institute for Diabetes.
